On December 3, 2023, starting at 1am (PST/GMT-8), Epic pushed an update to their popular multiplayer game Fortnite. At VANIX, this resulted in our normal evening traffic “valley” becoming a peak, with over 100 Gbps of additional traffic all Sunday morning.
This is a good example of what an IX can do: make a large amount of capacity available in a regionally resilient way, improving the Internet experience for everyone throughout the province.
